Breville JE98XL juicer reviewMost juicer buying guides will tell you to go for a model which is efficient, easy to use and built to be convenient. There are three major types of juicers namely masticating, centrifugal and twin-gear. The type you choose will mostly depend on your budget and applications. For instance, a masticating juicer is more efficient and has more versatility options but costs more. Centrifugal juicers are fast and easy to use. One of the top centrifugal juicers on the market is the Breville JE98XL and it is our personal favorite juicing machine. This powerful juice extractor is super simple to use and it is a great choice for those who want to try their hand at juicing for the first time.

It is built to conquer both soft fruits and hard vegetables thanks to its powerful 850 Watt motor. Besides, you can switch between its choice of two speeds at 6500 RPM and 12000 RPM while juicing soft fruits and hard vegetables in respective order. For quick, hassle-free operation, users will be at the convenience of a 3-inch wide chute which easily accommodates fruits and vegetables of any size.

The juicer features a Nutri Disc which has stainless steel mesh filters and blades. Gracing it too is a patented central feed system that is designed to maximize extraction of juice and increase the efficiency at which pulp is removed.

The Breville JE98XL does lack the stainless steel look of some of the more modern designed juicers but it has a durable polymer body which was specifically designed to hold out vibrations. There are a lot of features which were added to enhance the juicer’s levels of comfort while in use. A few notable ones are its wrap around cord storage design, a froth separator fitted liter jug and integrated handles on the pulp collector. Important too is to note that all plastic components used to build this juicer are BPA free and very easy to clean. All plastic components are dishwasher safe.

Some Of The JE98XL Highlights

1. A lightweight build: The whole mechanism weighs less than 15 pounds

2. A wide 3-inch feeder mouth eliminates the need to chop fruits and vegetables before juicing

3. Dual speed operation (6500 RPM/12000 RPM).

4. Comes with an 840 Watt motor

5. Safety features include safety locking arms and overload protection

6. Comes with a large pulp collector which has side handles

7. All plastic components are dishwasher safe

8. Covered by a 1 year limited warranty

Some Of What’s Lacking

1.Could be noisy although the noise stays within the kitchen

2.Leaves a slightly soggy pulp although it does a good job for a juicer with its power and mechanism

Who Will Benefit Most From Using This Juicer?

The Breville JE98XL has great features but are they fitting for everyone’s juicing applications. Certainly, the answer would be no. Like stated earlier, it is an ideal choice for people on a budget and secondly for those who just begun juicing. For budget shoppers, this juicer sells for only $ 129 which is way below what you would expect for higher end masticating juicers. Besides, it is very fast and hence suitable for people who are always on the wrong side of time. Even though it is a great machine for those on a tighter budget, it does not mean that this is a cheap machine.  It delivers superb value.

Efficiency

On efficiency, the juicer does a commendable job although the pulp produced is slightly wet. This means that not all the juice from your fruits and vegetables is extracted. This juicer does not score very well on efficiency although the results you get are great for a centrifugal juicer. If you are looking to get the most out of the top leafy vegetables for your health, then a masticating juicing machine would be a better choice.

Noise levels

Admittedly, the Breville JE98XL is a bit noisy but not so much as to disrupt a household’s activities. To be precise, its vibration and motor noises do not go beyond your kitchen walls and since juicing takes only 5 minutes on average, no one will even notice. The juice quality is not the same as you would get from a masticating juicer but not badly off and acceptable for a centrifugal. Bottom line, this is something you will appreciate if you intend to reboot or begin a healthier lifestyle with juices. It has good value for beginners as well as juicing experts who value their time.
